I SCORED 73% MARKS IN CBSE CLASS 12th BOARD EXAM . BUT IN A/Cs AND BUSINESS STUDIES I SECURED ONLY 55 AND 67 MARKS RESPECTIVELY. WHERE AS IN ECONOMICS I GOT 89 MARKS . AM I ELIGIBLE TO GET ADMISSION IN B.COM(HONS.) IN CALCUTTA UNIVERSITY ?

Admission in b.com hons. in Calcutta university will be strictly on merit basis and you
have to get minimum 50% marks in 12th exams only then you can apply for b.com
hons. in Calcutta university............

You can find admission into B.Com (Economics Honours/Business Studies) and General. If you want to opt for B.Com (Accountancy) then you wont be able to do so.

Admission into CU and all Colleges under CU has been scheduled to take place on 21 june. Form for all private colleges under CU has started, but the forms of other TOP Government colleges and CU itself will be available after the Announcement of WBCHSE result.

Admission in CU and all affiliated Colleges will start from 21 June. Forms are many private colleges had started distributing forms, But CU and Government colleges lik- Presidency, Bethune, Maulana Azad etc. will start distributing form after announcement of WBCHSE result. Forms will be available as soon as WBCHSE result are announced and all admission test form submission etc. will be conducted before 21 June and admission will starts from 21 June. Basically session will starts from July.

After the WBCHSE results are out Notification of form distribution and Cutoff marks will be decleared on Telegraph as we see every year.

You can apply for colleges like- A.J.C.Bose college, St.Xaviers, Vidya sagar college, surendranath college etc.

Look dear you can get B.Com (hons.) in calcutta university with 73% but not in any reputated college like st.xavier college, Goenka commerce college, or South city Day, but don't worry there is also an alternative way to get into this college are through management quota.Like if its a totally private college then you should totally approach the college for admission through management quota but if its a Govt college you have to approach the party supremo for taking admission and thats all.In both the cases the admission is done through management quota but the way of approaching is different. JU is a National University and also a institute of state and National Importance, noway for Management Quota.

Both of you Gates of Surendranath, Bangabasi, City College, Vidyasagar college are open for you.

Just go there without delaying I have seen almost 300-500 students are standing in rows for getting form.

I think last date for getting form is 12 june, just go to that college you will find big board containing cutoff marks for each subject.

If you are going late Find some Members of college Union, it would be easy for you to get in.

Yeah you can expect South City College. That's because there are 3 Shifts there, Morning, Day and Evening and also 3 colleges under campus for each sift.

Just go there without delying.

you can find admissions in b.com economics but you cannot be admitted to b.com. accountancy due to your unwell records in the two but you won't be dispared on the aggregate basis since its more than 50% which is requirement .

Yeah you will get Either Pass course or Economics Honours.

If you want to get Accountancy honours or else you wont be able to get so.

You can expect AJC Bose college, but not Umesh Chandra.

You have handled the matter carelessly which is not good.

However, CU has started its Admission from 21st June and till now all seats get filled almost in every college.

However, still there is a hope for you............!

You can try for Bangabasi, Surendranath, Vidyasagar colleges as because these colleges keep vacant some of its seats or provide direct admission till the date of commencement of clsses.

Go to the College, and talk with Union Boys tey will help you in getting in.

He can go for following:-

SA Jaipuria College (But since admission ara closed It typical to get, whoever give a try).

Bagabasi Evening/Morning/Day College (Admission process is almost off, but he can get in with the help of Union Boys, go to college and meet with them, or you can also directly contact principle there.) No problem go for it.

Surendranath Evening College (Admission process is almost off, but he can get in with the help of Union Boys, go to college and meet with them, or you can also directly contact principle there.) No problem go for it.

Vidyasagar College (you can directly contact principle there.) No problem go for it.

AJC Bose College (you can directly contact principle there, or try to find a man with name- Tanveer he can help you).

your marks is very low then you can get admision only college not university because calcutta university only can get admission good percentage marks student not low marks students.

Yes, you are eligible for B.com(Hons.).
You scored good marks in 12th standard.
But you didnt mention that in which subject you want hons.
According to me you can get addmission because aggregate your percentage is good and in economics you got 89 marks.
So, you will get admission.

Dear This is Kolkata, nothing is impossible here.

Yeah your MAths percentage will hinder in way to get you A/c Honours, but dont worry you will get it.

City college, Bangabasi, Surendranath, Vidyasagar, and many colleges are there where you can get in.

Second, thing If your Best of 4 Subjects is good enough then you wont face any problem, and as I can see your Best 4 are Good so dont worry.

i hope you are definately eligible to apply for the university you want to opt for. look 73% isn't a bad score. you should definately try for it. nothing in the world is impossible. i think you can get admission there easily. if you think your score is low, better work even harder next time.

For admission in B.Com. Hons. in CU one needs a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination.
If you have this min. score you can seek admission in the course.

Provided that you have proper Migration Documents.

But little problem is that TOP Government colleges of Kolkata have almost closed there admission.

At present you can get following including government and Private.

Bnagabasi college: you can expect evening shift only. (Gov. college)

Surendranath: You can epect evening shift only. (Gov./Private)

S.A. Jaipuria: However I am not sure, because it is pone of the TOP most colleges of kolkata like- St.Xaviers. (Private)

AJC Bose college: Take a try.

Asutosh college of Pailan Group, not CU one. (Private)

Besides these there are few more colleges..........

yes friend you can get admission in kalkutta but only you need is a migration certificate .
