I am student of standard 12th from science. I want to do fashion designing but i dont know anything about fd and about the admission process and about jobs and career in fashion designing.

After the completion of intermediate, you can apply for Bachelor degree in Fashion designing course.And it doesn't matter from which stream you are.But, you should have above 50 percent marks in your intermediate. And the following are the specializations available in fashion designing.
1)B.Sc in Fashion and Apparel Designing
2)B.A in Textile Designing
3)B.Sc in Fashion Designing
4)B.Sc in Fashion Technology

ADMISSION PROCESS:-
Every year NIFT(National Institute of Fashion Technology) will conduct an exam for the admissions.If you can clear this exam, you will be eligible for the admission in Fashion designing courses.

Exam:-
The exam is test the General ability.And it will be based on the following topics.
Quantitative Ability
English Comprehension
Business Domain Test
Communication Ability
Analytical Ability
Creative Ability Test
General Knowledge and Current Affairs

after 12th, you can pursue diploma in fashion design or you cam complete your graduation with Bsc in fashion and Apparel design. This is an all time favorite option for creative people. The most common areas of job in this field include fashion research, designing and production of cloths and textile designing. At the start, you can become a trainee designer and then take jobs such as fashion designer, fashion coordinator, fashion illustrator and fashion stylist.
