Can I get job in BHEL if not scoring good marks in GATE and secured 80% in B.E.(EEE)? Basic knowledge to get job in BHEL?

I am santhosh, pursuing B.E EEE. My passion is to get placed in bhel.I have scored above 80%in overall.In case if I don't get good marks in gate, is it possible to get placed in bhel? what are the basic knowledge I need to possess to get a job in bhel...plz provide me some valuable information regarding this..

The eligibility criteria for BHEL is :

60% aggregate score in B.Tech

Age limit, 21-26 years


But for interview call, you have to score minimum cut off score in GATE exam, else you cann't proceed further.
If you didnt get decent score in first time, then you can apply again, there is no age limit prescribed for GATE application and number of attempts.

Since, PSUs nowadays has reduced recruitment through campus placement, GATE is the best way to get placed, so prepare well for GATE 2015.
