Number of Hours to be spent daily for the preparation :-

It depends on your level of concentration and your retention power. You need to be in touch with all the subjects daily and keep a separate time for revision of the things learnt in the past.

Books needed :-

There can be a list of many books as given below. However, it is better not to go for too many books. You can practice problems from different books.

IIT JEE Physics Preparation Books

Concepts of Physics -H.C. Verma
Problems in General Physics I.E. Irodov
Fundamentals of Physics Resnick, Halliday, Walker
Arihant Physics D. C. Pandey

IIT JEE Chemistry Preparation Books

Organic Chemistry Morrison & Boyd
Reaction mechanism in Organic Chemistry Parmar and Chawla
Arihant Chemistry
Organic Chemistry Francis Carey (TMH)
IIT Chemistry O.P. Agarwal

IIT JEE Maths Preparation Books

New Pattern Mathematics fot IIT JEE M.L. Khanna
Coordinate geometry S. L. Loney
Plane Trigonometry S.L. Loney
Arihant Mathematics
TMH Course in Mathematics for IIT JEE

Study Time Table to prepare for JEE Main :-

- It should be made keeping in mind the schedule in your college.
- Devote subjects to the time during which your concentration level is high.
- Keep revision time at a point when your concentration is low.
- Give more importance to effective study hours rather than simply increasing the study hours.
- Treat all the subjects equally in your time table with special preference to difficult topics.
- Keep an overview time where you can study the pending portion of the entire week.

Since you have already taken admission in College , you have to balance both classes and preparation simultaneously.

For of all , prepare a schedule and allocate time for different subjects .
Start preparing from standard books and join a test series to get an idea of questions being asked . You can also for previous year papers.

Online coaching and postal coaching is also becoming popular these days , you can use them.

www.askiitians.com is a very good source for preparation.

Some good books
For Physics are , HC Verma
For Maths , RD Sharma , SL Loni ,
For Chemistry , JD Lee , OP Tandon

Try to get some material from friends for daily pratice problem.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
