Software Developer job is best among all the levels of desktop job. It is all time best job ever. So, you need not to think more about this job position. If you are getting a job profile of software developer in nay of the company than i will tell you to go to that job profile.

But if you get a job profile of desktop engineer in IBM than also i will suggest you to go to that company only that is offering you a job profile of software developer. As this profile matters a most as compared to desktop engineer job.

Even the startup company provide you a software developer job, just go to that company blindly.
As after switching that company you will get 1,5 times increment in the next company.
