If you have done M.Phil qualification from a recognized distance education University then you are definitely eligible for admission. In fact, those with M.Phil qualification are eligible for admission without appearing for any entrance exam.

Mostly admission in Ph.D is based on the entrance exam for those who have got Master's degree with 55% marks. Those with M.Phil qualification or NET/SLET/JRF qualification are eligible for admission without any entrance exam.
