CBSE stands for Central Board of Secondary Education and it is one of the Central board of education managed by Human Resource Development ministry of Central Government where as State board of education are managed by the respective state board of education.

There is not much difference between the academics of CBSE or any state board. But CBSE board dominates over state board due to following reasons :-

--> Being a Central Board, CBSE is recognized all around the country and abroad too but State board certificates are recognized in the same state and few of the near by States.

--> Academic facilities, infrastructure, discipline are more nice in CBSE schools so the environment of getting good education is better in CBSE schools as compared to any state government schools.

--> Also CBSE school provides education in English medium which is the demand of present world where as very rarely any state government does this.

But one thing is sure that, for getting academics in CBSE schools you will have to pay much more as compared to the cost of education from a state board schools as it provides facilities and environment favourable for getting quality education.

Also one thing which I want to suggest you that do not opt for the change in board of education for your secondary and higher secondary schooling as this period is the career determining period and change of board might not suits as the environment are different for different boards.

CBSE stands for Central board of secondary education. It was formed in 1962 and it is most popular board in India. It offers education in more scientific and practical approach. National entrance examinations like AIPMT, JEE examinations are conducted by CBSE every year. If one wish to join in engineering and medical fileds it is advisable to go to CBSE board as the terminology and methodology of understanding subjects is much easier at intermediate level.

The respective states has different syllabus and the syllabus is made by the state government. It is easier and simpler than CBSE board, but it does not concentrate much on competitive examination preparation. The method of teaching is completely theoretical manner.

For CBSE candidate's if one has to migrate from one place to another for some specific reasons then it will be easier for them as the CBSE board is available all over India.

State board has its own perks like the education system that is provided in it is quite good as compared to many other reputed boards.

CBSE board prepares the child for almost every entrance examination during the schooling periods itself, the reason behind it is that the syllabus and pattern followed in many reputed entrance examination follows CBSE pattern.

However, while CBSE syllabus offers education in a more scientific method, State board syllabus gives more importance to practical implication of related subjects. Another main differenciator amid the two is that, the former is considered much better than the latter.

Students of CBSE have an advantage over the state as the syllabus of CBSE is the same all over the nation and moreover, in most of the competitive examination, CBSE syllabus is followed.
