Is it beneficial to study Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from IGNOU? Should I get admission in B.Tech(Aerospace Engineering) in any Government college after this Diploma course?


Respected Sir,
My Name is Sadhana Sandesh Patil. I have B.Sc Degree in Computer Science. But I am not interested in Software field. I want to do Diploma in Mechanical Engineering through Distance in IGNOU. Please tell me IGNOU University is best for this Diploma course? And also tell me after completion of this Diploma course in Distance can I get admission for B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering in Regular in any Government college?

Yes, it is beneficial to study Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from IGNOU. IGNOU is a well recognised university. It is recognised by HRD Ministry of Indian Government.
IGNOU is a very good university for Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering.

Yes, you will get admission in B.Tech(Aerospace Engineering) in some good Government college after this Diploma course.
You have to appear for lateral entrance exam to get admission in B.Tech degree after this diploma course.
You have to appear in Lateral Entry Entrance Test LEET.
