What happens if I fail in my 6th subject in 12th board and pass in rest of the subjects? if my subjects were accounts economics business computers english and maths and i passed in all my 5 subjects and failed in my 6th subject that is maths ..and now should i appear for compartment or improvement ...for my 6th subject.

Since you have not mentioned your board of education so it is quite difficult for me to give you the correct reply.

For few board of education such as CBSE, if one fails in any one of their subjects whether it is main or extra then he/she will be regraded to be a fail.

But for most of the state board of education, marks in the extra subjects does not have any effect on the overall result.

Now if one fails in any of their six subjects then most of the board of education provided them the opportunity of compartmental examination to avoid a loss of crucial academic year from a students life.

To get exact information about the academics of your board of education you can contact to your board officials, school management or you can ask a new question with full information on the same forum.

Every board takes the re-exam on the given time. This is called supplementary/compartment exam. After giving this exam one can improve his/her marks in that subject.

If you failed in one of the subject at 10+2 level then you need to sit for compartment exam and not for improvement exam. Clearing the compartment subject will give you the certificate to study in higher level that is after completion of 10+2 successfully you can go for a bachelor degree. But, you need to clear your compartment exam first with minimum 45% marks.

I'm in CHSE state board what happens if I secure good marks in all 5 subjects but just passed inn 6th subject.
Is the marks of 6th subject will add up to the overall mark?

My board is CBSE and my Q is firstly what is the passing criteria this year 2017 for 12 means both theory and practical marks should be add for pass or I have to separately pass in these two ? Second my subject are PCB,eng,cs and physical if I fail in physics and chemistry so can I give compartment or I have to 12 again ??

You are must cleared the rest exam through compartment mode where you re-enter into exam to changes their numbers.

--But please work hard to achieve some average Mark's to eligible in the course of their interest after 12th standard.

What happens If I fail in 1 Compulsory- BSTD) & 1 OPTIONAL- COMA in WHCHSE Board and declared fail.
