I am in the final year of diploma in mechanical Engg. From pusa polytechnic.
I am doing diploma after 12th from science stream. Which exam am I eligible four for taking admission through lateral entry? Can I give dce cee through lateral entry after completing my diploma? Is Engineering Common Entrance Test for Diploma Holders 2012 (ECET FDH Exam) good for me? Is there any other known university in which I can take admission through lateral entry? Please name those with their fees structure? Please help me! I am dying for your reply!

Mostly, the lateral entry exams for admission in B.Tech is conducted on state level and you can apply for Delhi lateral entry exam which is most probably conducted by DTU.

Asmisssion will be allotted through counselling based on your rank. Just make sure that you perform well in the entrance exam.

No, you are not eligible to appear in DCE CEE after completion of your Diploma course. Only candidates who have completed 12th standard with Non-Medical Science stream from a recognised board are eligible to appear in DCE CEE. Being a Diploma holder, it is best to appear in ECET examination. ECET is an entrance examination which is conducted by respective state technical board of education for admission to second year of B.E/B.Tech course. So, by appearing in Lateral Entry examination i.e., ECET examination, you can get lateral entry admission in second year of four years B.E/B.Tech course.

After completion of 3 years duration diploma engineering course you will eligible for B.Tech by lateral entry.

There is entrace exam for admission to B.Tech by lateral entry called as LEET (Lateral Entry Engineering Test).

Eligibility for LEET:
- Candidate must have completed diploma course with minimum 40%
- No backlogs in diploma
- Candidate must have minimum 18 years old.

You will get admission to B.Tech by lateral entry after cracking & scoring good rank in LEET.
