I'm completed M.Sc in mathematics. Want to join IAS exam. But i can't take math as optional paper so what can i do for optional paper can i select a arts subject. [email protected]

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC every year.

For qualifying this exam, you will have to pass three stages i.e.

• Preliminary Exam
• Mains Exam
• Personal Interview

For Mains Exam, you will have to choose Optional subjects.

As you cannot choose Mathematics, so you must choose other subject in which you have your second interest.

In this way, it would be easier for you to prepare for that subject in a much better way.

You have completed M.Sc degree in Mathematics so you can choose Mathematics as an optional subject for IAS exam. You are not interested on Mathematics so you can choose Anthropology or History subject for optional papers for IAS exam. All optional ans mains papers are given below. You can choose the subject as per your strength.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service.This is a Civil Service exam which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSE) once in a year.
You can also take Mathematics as a Optional subject. There is any such condition is present that you can't take Mathematics as a Optional subject.

To join IAS you need to qualify UPSC examination which is conducted every year.
