To appear in EAMCET a local candidate has to return back from Dubai to India for High School? In which category, such student comes in Andhra or Telangana?


Hi,
I am travelling to Abroad and my kid has been admitted to 9th standard under CBSE syllabus in DPS, Dubai. Is he eligible for appearing EAMCET if he continues till 12th standard in Dubai? Can he come back for 11th and 12th to continue in India and in such case, what quota he comes under for EAMCET category in AP or Telangana?

Yes, your son is eligible to appear in EAMCET examination after completion of his 12th standard from Dubai. But, he can't appear in EAMCET examination as a local candidate, he needs to apply for EAMCET examination as an NRI candidate. Only candidates who have studied 6th standard to 12th standard in AP or TS are considered as local candidates for appearing in EAMCET examination. So, your son will be considered as an NRI Category candidate for appearing in EAMCET examination.
