I am fascinated about the Income Tax Officer post in Income Tax Department. I want to get the job post anyhow. I need to know about the physical requirements needed for the job post. Please reply.

Physical Requirement for Income tax Officer :

For Male candidates :
Height : 157.5 cms
Relaxation in height is also there for Garwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and ST candidates.
Chest : 81 cms ( Fully expanded with minimum expanses of 5 cms )

Physical Test :
Walking : 1600 metres in 15 minutes
Cycling : 8 kms in 30 minutes

Female Candidates :
Height : 152 kms
Relaxation of 2.5 cms is also there for Garwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and ST candidates.
Weight : 48 Kgs
Relaxation of 2 Kgs is also there for Garwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas and ST candidates.

Physical Test :
Walking : 1 Kms in 20 minutes
Cycling : 3 Kms in 25 minutes

To become an Income tax officer, one has to appear for combined graduate level (CGL) examination conducted by Staff selection commission (SSC).

The minimum academic eligibility criteria required to apply for CGL examination is that the candidate must have passed graduation in any of the stream from a recognized university.

Apart from that candidate must be physical fit and the physical standards must be as follows:

* Height : 157.5 cms

* Chest : 81 cms fully expanded with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.

* Walking 1600 meters in 15 minutes and cycling 8 kms in 30 minutes.

Income Tax Officer (ITO) exam is conducted by SSC (Staff Selection Commission) every year.

Eligibility criteria to apply for the ITO exam are as under :-

-The candidate should possess any degree from a recognized university of India.

-The candidate age limit to apply for the exam should be from 18 years to 27 years as on the 1st July of the year of examination.There is relaxation in upper age limit for OBC candidate by 3 years, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for PWD.

Preliminary Examination ,

Main Examination , and

Personality Interview .

Height: Minimum 157 Centimetres

Chest: 81 centimetres with expansion of at least 5 centimetre.

You will have to go through a physical test.
There is no such physical requirement for the post of Income Tax inspector but an idea about physical fitness is given to you.

There are some physical standards required for the Income Tax Officer post, Height – 157.5 cm, Chest – 81cm, fully expanded with minimum expansion of 5 cm. For the physical test, the aspirant has to walk 1600 meters in 15 minutes & Cycling 8 Km in 30 minutes. For the post of Income Tax Officer the aspirant has to appear for Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level Examination. The website link is http://ssc.nic.in/
