LLB stands for Bachelor of legislative law and as the name suggests it is a bachelor degree course after pursuing the same you will head towards becoming an advocate.

Generally, On the basis of duration of course and educational qualification of applicant LLB courses are offered in two types which are as discussed below :-

Type I ) LLB course of three years :- For students who are interested to do the same course after pursing their bachelor degree course in any discipline from a recognized university.

So having completed your Class 12th you are eligible for pursuing the LLB course of five years. Also for pursuing the same course from any of the NLUs ( National Law Universities ) best known for law courses you are required to clear entrance examination called CLAT ( Common Law Admission Test ).
