Yes you definitely do if you want
But there are many branch in m. Tech for civil engg. Like Geotechnical engineering or structural engineering etc
Find the suitable branch for you
And if you qualified in gate exam then if you will get stipend 12400 per month for your pursuing m. Tech year(ignore grammatical mistake)

That depend on you.In my case i am good in numerical problem and analyzing that why i choose structural engineering
