Respected Sir, I am studying in class 10th now and I am very much interested to join the Indian Army as an Officer so I want to know how can I join the Indian Army after completing class 10th? Do I have to complete Graduation for joining the Indian Army? Please answer as soon as possible.

The best way to join Indian Army is to complete your 12th standard with PCM and to appear in NDA exams if you qualify NDA exam then you have to qualify the medical as well as interview.
Moreover after completion of your Bachelors Degree you can also appear in Combined Defence Services examination that is conducted by UPSC every year. Your age should be in between 19 to 24 years.

If you complete your bachelor of engineering degree or bachelor of technology from any recognised institution or University you can enter the armed forces into distinct ways. You can either of for the technical graduate course if your age is between 20 to 27 years for the permanent commission or you can opt for the Short Service Commission.

Yes you are certainly eligible for joining Indian Army after completing your Class 10th but with this educational qualification you are only eligible for your recruitment as tradesmen.

Further as you are concerned about joining Indian Army as an officer so for that you basically have two options one through NDA and other through CDS.

NDA refers to National Defense Academy where as CDS stands for Combined Defense Services. Both are training center meant for training applicants who manages to qualify NDA entrance examination and CDS entrance examination respectively.

For appearing in NDA entrance examination, the minimum educational qualification required is a higher secondary degree level in any discipline from a recognized board where as for appearing in CDS entrance examination you need to have completed your graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.

So it is evident that you can join Indian Army as an officer through NDA without completing your graduation degree.

1. Candidates must have completed their intermediate in PCM group from a recognized board.

2. Age of candidates must be in between 16.5 years to 19.5 years.

3. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam.

After completion of 10th standard, you can't apply for Indian Army. This exam is conducted by UPSC through NDA exam.

The candidate's who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19.5 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
