if you like to persue your career in geology then you need to have a masters degree......

geologists have a natural curiosity which leads them to explore the Earth’s history and its processes in pursuit of ways to improve human life, they generally posses strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A master’s degree is required for major professional entry-level positions, with a Ph.D. necessary for university teaching and to secure higher-level research positions.

best of luck

Yes you can enroll for M.tech but there is little problem there are very few institutes in India which offers to study m.tech after m.sc.

However,Since, geologists have a natural curiosity which leads them to explore the Earth’s history and its processes in pursuit of ways to improve human life, they generally posses strong interpersonal and communication skills.

A bachelor’s degree in geology will secure some entry-level positions, the better qualified you are, the better position you can secure. Students interested in a professional career in the geosciences should prepare to continue their education into advanced degrees. A master’s degree is required for major professional entry-level positions, with a Ph.D. necessary for university teaching and to secure higher-level research positions.

Best of luck

For any course normally 80% seats are reserved for sponsored candidates and 20% are reserved for open candidates.
Institutes should sponsor applicants with 2 years field experience.

M.Sc./M.E. in Natural Sciences- Geography / B.E. (Civil ) /B.Tech/ B.Arch. (Planning) /M.Planning / B Planning in First Class or Master in Computer Applications (with Science at Graduate level) + B.Sc. (4 years)

hi
yes you are eligible

Civil Engineering offers M.Tech degrees in several specializations. The degree programmes are offered in the following areas:
Building Technology and Construction Management
Environmental Engineering
Geotechnical Engineering
Hydraulic and Water Resources Engineering
Structural Engineering
Transportation Engineering
You decide, can a BE IT fit in any one of these. If yes go for GATE.

Hello Everyone

i am the student of M.Sc Tech in Appplied Geology at Indian School of Mines,Dhanbad, world known for its Geology department. Any body intreseted in pursuing Mtech here can apply with Gate Score or through Non GATE entry by institute's own examination held in may. Notification is updated in the website (www.ismdhanbad.ac.in) during the month of february and generally 31st march is last date

for M.Tech you must have M.Sc degree, we have three specialization here
Mtech in MIneral exploration
Mtech in Petroleum Exploration
Mtech in Engineering Geology

apart from this you can also apply for
Mtech Geological Technology
mtech in Geomatics

both under mining engineering department

the best thing to get m.tech entry is to Qualify GATE and apply for M.Tech in any of the three IIT's and ISM Dhanbad, though i would ask you to join ISM, as it has guaranteed 100 % placement with Average pay packages around 6 Lpa. Highest 22.3 in Schlumberger and Lowest 4.2 in Jindal Steel

so good luck

anyone who wish to contact me

plz email me

Sir, I am taking admission in M.Tech in Petroleum Exploration in University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun. I am a Post Graduate in Physics from Tezpur University (2010). Currently I am working in Oil India Limited as a Chemical Operator. I have 1st Class throughout my career. I want to know will this course will boost my career considering I am not from engineering background. I also have a valid GATE score too. Should I go for it?

Mtech in Mineral exploration
Mtech in Petroleum Exploration
Mtech in Engineering Geology
In these 3 courses, which is the best? If I done one of them will I get a placement? How about mineral exploration? How much I have to score in gate to get admitted in MTech courses? How much a company will paid me?
