Details about Diploma in Bakery Technology and Food Technology? Which course has more scope?


Sir, I want to study Diploma course in Bakery Technology or Food Technology. Please give me details about both the courses? Which course has more scope?

Candidates with a pass in 10+2 with English language as one of the subjects are eligible to study the Diploma in Bakery & Confectionery course. Candidates after completion of the Diploma in Bakery & Confectionery course can work as a Baker, Pastry Chef, Food Technologist and Cake Decorator. They can also start bakery and run it successfully. The course teaches students to bake different types of breads and confectionery products.
Those students who have passed 10+2 can pursue a Diploma in Food Technology course. Candidates learn lot of things during the course like food selection, food safety and hygiene, food adulteration, food processing, food analysis and inspection. Candidates after completion of the Diploma in Food Technology course can work in Hotels, Flight Kitchens, Food Inspection Departments, Food Processing and Production Factories, R&D Centers etc.
Both the courses are good course. Those who have an interest in the manufacturing of Bakery and Confectionery products can pursue a Diploma in Bakery and Confectionery course. Others can pursue a Diploma in Food Technology course. The scope for both the above mentioned courses are high for the candidates with good skills.
