Am I eligible to study B.Sc in Nursing after passing 12th from Arts background?

I passed my 12th class from Arts stream. However, I'm interested in Nursing course. Will I be eligible to pursue Nursing course although I'm from Arts background? If no, then what should I do to pursue a three year B.Sc in Nursing course?

No, you are not eligible to study B.Sc. Nursing course after passing 12th standard from Arts background. To get admission for pursuing B.Sc. Nursing course, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects from a Government recognised board. So, being a Arts stream student, you are not eligible to study B.Sc. Nursing course.

No, You can't pursue B.SC in Nursing because to get admission in the B.SC Nursing you have to pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry,Biology as your main subject. Since you are from arts background you cannot go for the three year degree program in Nursing. However, you can go for the certification course in Nursing. Courses like: Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery, General Nursing Course. The duration of the program is for 2 years-3 years. Its a kind of a diploma course. After completing the course you will be able join any hospital of India as a Nurse.
