What is the basic educational requirements to be eligible for CTET?


I have completed my B.Com and B.Ed as well. Now, am I eligible to Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)? Is yes, then please let me know the procedure to apply for it and the latest date by when should I apply.

Yes, you are eligible to appear in CTET examination. It is conducted by CBSE for recruitment of teachers in schools.

The required minimum qualification to appear for examination is that :-

Candidate must have diploma in education qualification after higher secondary qualification.

Since you have B.Com and B.Ed degree you are eligible to appear in examination.

There is no notification for examination available now. For more information visit at www.ctet.nic.in.

CTET Eligibility Criteria:

For teaching class 1st to 5th:

Candidate must have passed Senior Secondary with 50% aggregate marks are appearing in the final year of diploma in elementary education.

Must have passed the senior secondary with 45% marks and also passed or appearing in final year of diploma as per the NCTE regulations.

Candidate must have passed class 12th with at least 50% aggregate and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Elementary Education such as B.Ed.


For teaching class VI to VIII:

Candidate must be graduate and pastor appearing in the final year of diploma 2 year in elementary education.

Must be graduate with minimum 50% and passed or appearing in the final year in Bachelor in education such as B.Ed.

Eligibility criteria for becoming teacher at primary level:

12th class or its equivalent exam with securing at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2 year diploma in elementary education.

Or

Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with securing at least 45% marks aggregate and completed or appearing in final year of 2 year diploma course in elementary education as per ncte regulations.


Eligibility criteria for becoming teacher at elementary level:

Any graduate and passed on pursuing the final year of 2 year diploma in elementary education.

Or

Candidates should hold graduation degree with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education.

CTET is Central Teacher Eligibility Test and examination is conducted by CBSE for recruitment as teacher in government school.

Candidate with diploma in education are also eligible to appear for examination. So, you are eligible to appear for examination.

There is no age limit to appear for examination. For more information about CTET visit at www.ctet.nic.in.

CTET stands for Central Teachers Eligibility Test. This exam is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education. This is mandatory to be cleared by candidates who are interested in becoming government teacher.

Eligibility criteria:

Candidate must have passed B.Ed in any discipline from a recognized university.

There is no percentage criteria for this exam.

There is no upper age limit to appear for this exam.

Candidate must be an Indian.

CTET stands for Central Teachers Eligibility Test. This exam is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidate must need to complete Master's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Candidate must have B.Ed degree to appear for entrance examination.

There is no upper age limit.

CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test and it is held by CBSE twice every year for recruitment of teachers in CBSE affiliated private or centrally funded schools such as KVs, JNVs, etc. .

* As far as you are concerned about the educational requirement for appearing in CTET then it is as below :-

--> For becoming teachers upto Class V, the minimum education required is a higher secondary school degree along with two year diploma in elementary education degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized institute. Marks relaxation upto 5% is allowed for reserved category candidates. Equivalent degree holders are also eligible.

--> For becoming teachers of Class VI to Class VIII, the minimum education required is bachelor degree in any discipline along with bachelor of education degree course with at least 50% marks from a recognized university. Marks relaxation upto 5% is allowed for reserved category candidates. Equivalent degree holders are also eligible.

As far as you are concerned about the important dates regarding upcoming CTET, then it is scheduled to be held on 16th September 2018 for which the application form be available by 22nd June 2018 and will last till 19th July 2018.
