Dear Sir/Ma'am

I'm presently a student of class 12th & will appear for Different Entrance Exams in the year 2012. Well I mainly want to concentrate on BIT-SAT as I want to get admission in BITS-Pilani for the course of B-Tech in Electronics & Communications.
So kindly guide me as to how should I prepare for the Exam, the fee structure for the course including Hostel facilities & scholarships if any. Also, Please tell me as to how can we come to know for BIT-SAT admissions date.

Bitsat exam is generally conducted in MAY, month of every year or near it but application process starts in january month. so you can check in dec or jan official site of BITSAT you may know about dates and application process to. Generally it has one month window to take exams. for preparation you need work hard on Maths, Chem, & physics. the eligibility criteria if you science stream (Phy, chem, & Math) you can appear in the bitsat 2012 session as your result waiting. and the total fees with hostel charges & all depend in which branch you will get admission.

The BITSAT is based on the XI and XII classes' CBSE syllabus. BITS has campuses at Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad and in Dubai. BITSAT is the first complete online based admission procedure for any undergraduate course in India. BITSAT is a 3-hour test consisting of four parts, as follows:

• Logical Reasoning & Mathematics.
• Physics.
• Chemistry
• English Proficiency.

BITS pilani entrance exam or simply BITSAT is an online entrance exam for admission in BITS Pilani, goa and hyderabad campus.

The test involves 150 questions in all, each correct answer fetches 3 marks while there is a negative mark of (-)1 mark for each wrong question. So the maximum obtainable marks are 450.

The duration of the paper is 3 hours so the average time per question is 72 seconds.The questions are of easy to moderate level and are designed such that a good student will finish 150 questions in 180 minutes.

Now coming to the syllabus, the syllabus is completely based on the NCERT portion(CBSE class 12). Since the questions are of easy to moderate difficulty, the questions test the basic knowledge and understanding of the subject so the most important thing is to be absolutely thorough with the NCERT books for physics, chemistry and maths

as for english and logical reasoning, you only need to brush up your vocabulary a little bit and also revise the basic rules of sentence formation and little bit of grammar. Most commonly asked questions in this section are synonym/antonym, arranging jumbled sentences, meanings of phrases/idioms.

Further, you may look to solve the sample paper which is uploaded on the BITS website to get a feel of the exam.
