I am a student of b.com(major) 1st year.my question is what is the next step for me?

Dear Friend

In India the best way to make a very good career after B.Com, is nothing but C.A.

You should start preparing for Chartered Accountant during your B.Com. itself.

At first you will have to get yourself registered in the 'Institute of Chartered Accounts
of India'. You can complete registration in person by visiting the institute or you can
register online through website. ( www.icai.org )

There are three levels of examination to be qualified for successfully completion of
Chartered Accountancy course.

1. CPT
2. IPCC
3. Final

One can apply for CPT after 12th(any stream, no age bar, no percentage bar).

One can apply fro IPCC after Grduation
(Graduation in any stream is allowed but commerce graduate should have at least
50% marks in Grad. Non commerce graduate without maths. should have at least
55% marks and non commerce graduates with mathematics should have at least
60% marks in Graduation)
or,
One can apply for IPCC if he/she has successfully qualified CPT.
(Graduation degree is not required if CPT is already cleared).

One can apply for Final exam only after qualifying IPCC.

I would also mention that completing CA is a tough job but once you complete
the course you will have a very good and luxurious life waiting for you.
Generally people fail because they don't take initiative at right time.
For you, this is the right time to start your preparation because now you wouldn't
have much of liabilities but you must be having lots of enthusiasm to achieve greatness.

After B.Com you have lot of opportunities in job field and higher studies.The jobs which you can apply are TCS,INFOSYS,CTS,Bank jobs,Railway jobs,WIPRO,Isro,ntpc etc.If you interested in jobs search in the website www.freshersworld.com

1.MBA.
2.MCA.
