Hello friend,

As per UGC guidelines for NET, You should apply in the subject of your Post graduation and if the subject is not available in the list, you may appear in the related subjects.
The list of subjects and complete information regarding NET is available on the official website of UGC.

Hello Sir,

I don't think that it is mandatory to take the same subject for NET as taken in Post graduation.

You can take geography as the special or core subject in NET program.

All the best!

dear Gynesh,
no it is not important to take the same subject what you have taken in PG. its based on your choice.so don't worry you can give it with geography.
but for sit in NET exam you shoul have 55% minimum in PG'
so don't worry.
with best wishes,
aditya

dear friend,

it is compulsory to take the same subject in NET as taken in your PG.it is the rule of UGC clearly mentioned on their prospectus.

so you are compelled to do so.if your subjects are not falling in the list of subjects prescribed by UGC then you can any subjects.

all the best.

Dear Sir / Madam
I would like to appear for the UGC NET exam in June 2011. The new pattern of the exam syllabus is too lenghty. Is it that we get to select any one of the 13 listed subjects or have to read all the 13 to answer the 35 questions of part B in the exam.

Respected Sir/mam,

I have some queries regarding NET EXAM. Kindly give your good suggestions.

I have completed my PGDBA from Symbiosis , Pune and scored 64.4%.
The first thing which I want to ask is that: -

1. Is PGDBA (Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration) is equivalent to Post Graduate Degree as per UGC Norms.
2. Can I apply for NET Exam according to this.
3. Is it compulsory to opt post graduation subject for Net Exam.
4. Can I take my Graduation subject for Net Exam.

Actually, I want to appear for Net Exam in English Subject because I have an interest in english subject and want to become a English T
Teacher.

Kindly suggest me regarding Net Exam or an alternative for becoming English Teacher (for your information I'm pursuing M.A. English from IGNOU), what should I go for?

I will be really thankful to you, if u reply soon..

With regards,

Neelam
