I have complited my diploma in electrical. in 2009.Now I want doing B.TECH. (distance education )From KARNATAKA STATE OPEN UNIVERSITY(www.ksouvirtal.com). I want to know that this university AICTE, UGC approved or not.this university is right for me or not.

Hello friend,
The distance education mode of Karnataka State Open University is not recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education-AICTE.
The courses offered by the university is recognized by the Distance Education Council of Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Apart from Distance Education Council, the university is recognized by various other governing bodies which is available on its official website.

KARNATAKA STATE OPEN UNIVERSITY is approved by UGC .

But not approved by AICTE.

Kindly go to http://www.dec.ac.in/160811/Course-wise%20Recognition.pdf you will find all details courses wise.Some universities fool students that they have recognized by DEC.Actually they got recognition for some courses only .On that basis they advertise as they got recognition for all courses. Kindly careful while choosing courses.

Karnataka State Open University is not approve by U.G.C but not approve by A.I.C.T.E...
You don't worry about that after passing from this university you can apply for both govt. of privet sector job..

KSOU is approved by UGC. You can check it online on UGC website. And yes it is not approved by AICTE as this programs are 100% distance learning mode..

I have completed my BCA in the year 2015 from KSOU in distance education. Still have not received my convocation certificate / provisional certificate. So now, I am getting an opportunity abroad for the job but unfortunately, I am not able to apply as I do not have a convocation / provisional certificate. Can I know when will I get my certificate? or how to apply for the certificate.
