my name is ezmamul haq and i study in 11 science in kv old cantt allahabad.i want to know that can i join indian army after 12.

yes you are eligible to join Indian Army.......

to join Indian army you have to appear for NDA exam;
NDA exam is conducted by UPSC twice in a year through which you can
join the following defence acadeny;

-NAVY
-NAVAL
-MERCHANT
-AIR FORCE

for which the eligibility criteria is;

>>you should be 12th with at least 60% marks in PCM stream
>>your age should be between 16.5-19 years

UPSC takes two exam in a year, namely;
-NDA 1
-NDA 2

both the exam for this year has been passed.....
the exam date for next year is;
-NDA 1- 15-04-12
-NDA 2- 19-08-12

Eligibility for appearing in NDA

NDA(National Defense Academy) exam takes place twice in a year in the months of April and August..

The forms are available one month prior to the examinations..you can avail the forms from your nearest book depots..

In order to appear for the NDA exam and join the Indian Army you need to satisfy the following conditions :-

1) You need to be a 12th pass out in any stream

2) You should be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years

Apart from these..you should be physically fit and should have a perfect eyesight..

First,you have to clear the written exam and then the interview and then the medical examination..

YES YOU CAN JOIN INDIAN ARMY AFTER COMPLETION OF 12TH WITH SCIENCE for which you have to appear for NDA(National Defence Academy) exam conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).

NDA exam held two times a year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA.

The process of NDA-I is going on now followed by examination on 15.04.2012.

You can apply for NDA while appearing for your 12th exam, the notification for this will be announced during March/April and Oct/Nov. and for further information you may log on to official web site of UPSC i.e. www.upsc.gov.in

Dear Ezmamul,

After completion of 12th standard , a large number of students want to join Indian Defense.

So , the Union Public Service Commission conducts the NDA Examination every year to provide those candidates the opportunity to join Indian Defense through any of the following wings :

* Indian Army

* Indian Navy

* Indian Air Force

The Essential Requisites for NDA Examination are :

* The candidate must ahve completed 12th from any recognized board.

* 12th appearing candidates can also appear for NDA-I Exam.

* The age limit is 16.5-19 years.

* No relaxation in upper age is given to candidates no matter they belong to any category.

* The candidate must be an Unmarried male.

* Girl candidates are not considered eligible for the NDA Exam.
