Yes, you can do law after 12th Commerece ..
(It doesn't matter what stream you come from. Though say you were a person who was just out of 10th asking this question then I'd recommend him to take the arts stream. *Hint for those who'd need this)
If you want to get admission in one of the most renowned colleges for law, you'll need to give CLAT. Unfortunately you can't sit for exam this year since the registration was long done, but you can pay attention for the next year.

(The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India entrance examination conducted by 14 National Law Schools/Universities for admissions to their under-graduate and post graduate degree programmes (LL.B & LL.M). The 14 participating NLUs in the order of their establishment are:

National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NLSIU)
NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad (NALSAR)
National Law Institute University, Bhopal (NLIU)
The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata (WBNUJS)
National Law University, Jodhpur (NLUJ)
Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur (HNLU)
Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar (GNLU)
Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow (RMLNLU)
Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala (RGNUL)
Chanakya National Law University, Patna (CNLU)
National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi (NUALS)
National Law University, Orissa (NLUO)
National University of Study & Research in Law, Ranchi (NUSRL)
National Law University & Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJA))

Not all Law schools require the CLAT though. For some you can just get in through the cut-off. If you're sure you want to study law, then rather than graduation, pick up the 5 years course for LLB and then you can continue to LLM if you wish or directly start working. By going for LLB instead of graduating with other degree and then coming to LLB as an extra course, you save an year.

Hope I helped!

I suggest you to do commerce if your aim to become a Lawyer because you will pay more attention to get a marks as compare to science stream.
Educational: Minimum qualification You have the certificate of intermediate from any stream. Course duration is of 5 years and is sponsored by the Bar Council Of India.
There are various branches of specialisation in law like civil law, criminal law, corporate law, property law, income tax law, marine law, public international law, family law, labour law, press law, excise law, constitutional law etc... You can choose one among them.
good luck.

hello dear

see, firstly every stream of candidate after 12th can appear in the LLB exam.

but see if you can take Arts subjects then it will be best option for you.

also if you take political science subject then it will be a best option for you.

to do LLB after 12th. you have to give CLAT exam through which you can get chance to do LLB course.

but if you are not interested about arts subjects then commerce will best option for you.

all the best...........

Unfortunately you can not do LLB course until you have completed graduation. There is no provision which will allow you to apply for the LLB course after completing only 2 years of commerce graduation course.

You will have to complete the commerce graduation course and only after that you can apply for the LLB course. Unless you complete graduation there is no way to apply for the LLB course.

However if you are less than 20 years old then you can apply for the integrated LLB course, but it would be of no use since its a 5 years course which will include a bachelor degree like BA, B.Com etc. There is no point doing it again.

The only option in front of you as for now is to complete graduation and then apply for the LLB course.

Eligibility

1. A valid graduation degree is required.

2. Must have secured 45 percent marks in it.

3. SC/ST need to secure 40 percent or above to be eligible for LLB.

4. Any candidate who is above 30 years old is not eligible.

5. Any SC/ST above 35 years is not eligible.

6. OBC are not entitled for any relaxation.

To become a Lawyer, no percentage of marks required, one has to complete LL.B.(Bachelor of Law) Degree and obtain a Licence fro Bar Council of India for legal practice.

LL.B. can be pursed in two ways, one after 12th which is called as Integrated LL.B. of 5 years duration and other after Graduation Degree with 3 years LL.B.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian Citizen having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream with 50% marks from a recognised Board within the age of 20 years, can apply for 5 years Integrated LL.B.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation in any stream with 40% marks from a recognised University within the age of 30 years , can apply for 3 years LL.B.

Dear Friend,

Sorry to say but you cannot join the LLB course just after passing only 2 years in graduation with Commerce stream.

This is because the minimum educational qualification required for the LLB Course is graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university.

The Qualifications Required to apply for the LLB Course are :

* You must have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized university.

* You must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in graduation.

* Relaxation of 5% marks is given to SC/ST candidates.

* The Age Limit for this course is 21-30 years.

* Relaxation of 5 years is given in upper age to SC/ST Candidates.

* OBC Candidates do not get any type of relaxation for this course.

So , if you want to pursue the LLB course , then the very first thing that you should do is to complete your graduation.

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.

No percentage of marks required to become a Lawyer. To become a Lawyer one has to complete Graduation of Law(LL.B.) along with a license issued by Bar Council of India for legal practice.

LL.B. Bachelor of Law can be pursed in two ways, one after 12th and another after Graduation.

After 12th the LL.B. Degree is of 5 years duration which is also called as Integrated Law Degree.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian Citizen having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board with 50% marks within the age of 20 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation Degree with 40% marks in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. can apply for LL.B.
