MAT stands for MANAGEMENT APTITUDE TEST and this test is conducted for the admission of candidates for the MBA programmes in some of the colleges which accept the MAT score.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a National Entrance Test conducted by All India Management Aptitude Testing Service (AIMATS).

AIMA-MAT is conducted 4 times a year: in February, May, September and December.

To be eligible to apply for the MAT exam you must have done graduation or in the final year of graduation in any field from any recognized University.

THE SCHEME OF EXAMINATION IS:

This exam called MAT has 5 Sections:

1. Quantitative Ability
2. Reading Comprehension
3. Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency
4. Logical Reasoning
5. General Knowledge

Total number of questions: 200; 40 in each section and Duration of the MAT: 150 minutes and there is negative marking of 0.25 for the wrong answers and 1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.

MAT Important Dates:::

• Date Of the Exam(Paper-Based): 5th February, 2012 (Sunday); 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
• Date Of the Exam (Computer-Based): 11th February, 2012.
• Last Date to Apply: 14th January, 2012

MAT is not a rigorous exam where you have to do a lot of hard work.
It's a exam of knowledge and skills.

It include three sections,
Quantitative aptitude,
Logical Reasoning and
English.

1.Quantitative Aptitude - R.S.Agarwal
2.Current affairs/GK - Pratiyogita darpan magazine, newspaper
3.Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning - R.S. Agarwal
4.Logical and Reasoning by - Arun Sharma
5.General knowledge - Khanna and Verma

So, You have to just make your base stronger for English and do some practice in quantitative aptitude and logical

reasoning.
Hardly 3 months are enough for the preparation.

Eligibility Criteria :-

To apply for MAT examination,the candidate have to completed graduate degree from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and there is no specific percentage bar required for this examination.Those in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for MAT examination.
