MBA is one of the best decisions that you have taken so far. It accounts for a lot of improvement in career opportunities and thus, if you do it nicely you would definitely have a very bright career ahead.

Since you are a B.Tech, this would again be an added advantage. Here are a few points that you can consider:

1. Since you already have 3 years of experience in market research, I would recommend you taking up Marketing as your specialisation and not Operations as your majors there. This is because of the following 3 things:

a. Your experience would be counted
b. You already have some experience to build your career on and you would not need to restart

2. MBA in marketing may also need you to understand operations and so a few subjects from that as well would do.

Yeah, absolutely you would be eligible to enter the Automobile and Healthcare Industry after you are done with your MBA as the medicinal industry such as Pharma etc have a lot of roles that are associated with Operations. If you are focused on only going for these operations based roles, then taking it as your majors makes sense.

But, kindly note that such automobile and healthcare pharma companies go to very selective Business Schools across India. It would be interesting for you to find out if these visit your campus for hiring and all. If not, then you might have to consider other options wherein you have some chances of getting jobs in these companies.

For your information, some of the top pharma companies are: Ranbaxy, Cipla, GSK, Pfizer, Piramal etc. Also some of the top automobile companies are: Hyundai, Maruti, TATA Motors, Mercedes, BMW, Renault, Audi etc. Thus, these are aspirational companies to work for and therefore prepare yourself in a manner that you can be of value to these
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
