Hi all :-)
I have total 3 years gap in my career (2 yrs between 10th and 12th, and 1 yr between 12th and B.E.(CSE) ).

B.E.(C.S.E.)(2006-2010)- 82.21% (I was Top Student :->)
12th(2003-2005)- 54.4% (I failed twice in 12th :-<)
10th(2001)-74.8%

I am worried for my future. I didn't get any job yet. Should i continue to look for boring software jobs or go for M.Tech and become a good lecturer? or is there any other way to have a bright future?

I am really worried. Kindly help me. plzzzz....

Getting on campus jobs from your college cant be guaranteed because with many graduates passing out companies take only the students with the aggregate they choose and with students that don't have backlogs at all. So getting job is difficult.
So if you feel software is boring you can do M.Tech and enter as a lecturer, even with B.tech also you can get.
But if you want to settle as a software professional doing some certification course from good institutes that guarantee job is preferable.

some company is there which do not take any student who have less than 60% marks throughout career. but you have a poor result in 10+2. so it is very difficult to get a good job.

obviously you may do software job after some course. you are computer science student so already you have good knowledge on computer. also you know so many language of computer. so you may get software job with this knowledge. but if you have think that you have not learn that particular language in college properly then try to do it again from an institution. then try for job.

but i think you are not interested to do job in software field as you have written boring software job. in that case i will suggest to do MBA. if you go for MBA there will be a good scope for you and easily you will get job in management field.

if you really do not want to do job in software field and also do not want to go for MBA then try for some new other company for networking job or other job in which field you have interest. they may fix no criterion that may make you ineligible. so try for that. surely will find that type of company. M.Tech is also a better option for you. you may do M.Tech to get better opportunity from now.

hi friend, as you are having 3 yrs gap in total in your education background so it is difficult to grab a good job from campus or outside campus, and you also feel that software field is boring so my suggestion to you is to go for M.Tech and do a lecturer job first and do PhD corresponding along with teaching and get a degree. After having a good experience as a teacher and having a PhD degree you will get a 30,000-50,000 salaried job anywhere in any reputed institute or you can make more money by teaching students at personal institute also... so enjoy study and make your future bright with some more study. Hope this suggestion will help you out...

friend although ur marks are low and u failed u should not lose hope and go on do the thing which u like the most. But i tell me when u go for an interview they would surely see ur marks and may also reject u. But i think u should tug up and start getting excellent in ur field. This will bound them to chose u even u failed. i have a friend who is working in private firm which worked in Games and he is not even graduate from designing and then also he is working as a head in designing. See he is not much literate, degree wise but his practical knowledge is excellent. You should also try to be like him.

Hi .first you should remove your fear ,there is lot to do in this world .keep an open mind ,think positively.It is true that some of the leading companies may not employ people who has a gap in there education but it does not mean that all has come to a stand still there are other companies to start your carear with and if you find software boring you can do MBA, M.tech can go as a lecturer or in to any marketing field (if u like) .If you are interested in business then you are your own boss ,go over your interest and in which field your strong ,discuss it with others but you decide what you need and move forward.All the best for future.

yes,it is fact that most of the well reputed company in india as well in aboard requires 60% marks through out the acadmic carrier,and also they look into matter of the gap between the acadmic session.most of the company general call those students who has only one year gap but if there is more than one year gap then that will not call.

but it does not mean that there is no a job scope for the students like you means having gap as well marks is not 60% through the acadmic carrier.
there is many company who does not see your marks they looks only your performance during the interview or written exams.so you can also get good job,and after having experiance of some year you can also get in to the well reputed company,because at that time they will see only your experiance not marks.

And as far as to being a lecturer is consern then if you have well commands in your own subjects and you like this job then go for the M.TECH,and after that going for a lecturer is very good and prestegious job.and for the m.tech i will suggest you to prepare for the gate exams and get a good rank and then take the admission in the well reputed college like IITS /NITS .

why are you take so much tension.If you have good knowledge in computer then you got surely good job.Doesn't matter 12th marks.All students not have good marks in 12th but you have got in engg. good %age that's why don't worry and don't take tension.Because in india so many companies available .
And all companies not give job only machines they can give job to you .

there is no need to worry some of the companies have this type of requirements (no backlogs) but if you are good you can easily get a job in any company you can also go for further study MTECH and become a professor. as it depends on you. ths is no reason to worry.

As you have three years gap in your education is too hard to get on top. but even than you have a way to reduce this gap. I want to tell you one thing im also having a two years gap. 1 year before 12th and 1 year after 12th few time back i was worring about that than i have decided than i have gap of two years so why should not i fill this gap than i found to join more than one thing at a time to prove myself. So now im doing MBA + MCA both from distance learning while doing a job.Writenow im satisfied and hope in future also.

So my suggestion is that you just try to get a job related your field not a matter of best level and do other things which you can do while doing a job. I know thats not easy. Thats very typical life and living that life so why can't you. So find the ways of doing more than one thing at a same time.

you should try in every field in which u r really intrested........n u have passion

you are having so many backs so it is impossible for you to get job with campus selection. so doing m.tech is good choice as it guarentee you a job .

hey buddy i dropped a year too ! let me tell you something.. if you have potential and you BELIEVE that you do... no one can stop you.. and remember its often those who dont blend into the crowd that create their own crowds cheers and best of luck towards a really bright future !

u don't look back and focus on ur future, but I'll suggest u to go for M.Tech instead of a boring job in any company. After M.Tech u'll get job of ur interest and there are many oppertuniteis after M.Tech. u'll get many offers after that..so..take a right decision.. and have a bright future..all the best..

you are thinking right, It is very difficult for you that to get job in good software company as you are not a regular student.So, if you want to get a bright future then join MTech in good college as much as possible.After doing MTech there would be possibility to get job in various multinational companies as a software engineer.After doing MTech, you can get the job of faculty in a good engineering college.So, now the choice is yours.

if you please don't panic i must tell you a encouraging fact
J J SINGH was the general of the army but he failed lots of time in SSB ,
he has given NDA exams 7 times and he 7 times cleared but in interview he rejected 6 times but see now he was the general of all command,

you are having good marks in BE
then you don't have to worry
if you are in a good college
they will not see what your past
go for it..

i got educational gap of 5 years before joining engineering i am btech(it) can i join any it company for developer job give list of companies which will recruit me i hav completed btech(it) got 65% and am 2010 passed out

Gap after 10th might not be a problem.But 1 year gap after +2 might be a problem for you for getting company jobs.Although many companies allow a gap of 1 year after +2 but there is no guareente that it will remain the same.So I advice you to go for M.Tech and become a lecture

Hi,

you may have tough time to get a job in MNC's as you have more year gaps.
But your futute is bright still if you are having knowledge.
There are so many government entrance job where you can apply.
also, you can apply for IAS if you are willing.
If you don't stop trying, there is nothing you can'y achieved.
Knowledge is very very important.

According to your academic year gap you have many year gap in the academic career. I think that you have many problem in the placement.
But many company ask the reason for the year gap. If you have a valid reason for the year gap like medical then i think that you are eligible for the placement of many company.

I will fail in 12th commerce,what should i do next in my life and how to deal with friends and family????????????????/////

don't worry about friend ...actually their(Campus selection commity) consider only in campus and freshers,if u have 2 or 3 years experience in IT then u can easily to get in MNC's. moreover don't worry about you...first u should join any small company and must work properly continue two years. Suppose if u have good knowledge in between 2 or 3 years they won't consider your education background...so don't worry ...

Study never matters when u come on floor to work,its just like a door to enter the house, there after all your talent matters a lot. In work floor no body will consider & bother whether you are an engineering student or a b.com graduates, all found to be one and the same. A common work will be shared to all employees irrespective of their studies, who performs well will get the name and fame.

So no worries, keep trying for jobs. Try to attend more interview which will give the confidence.During an interview dont ever give up as you said flunged, just give some reason for not passing that particular subject, say was not well to perform well on that particular exam day.

i have 7 year gap in my whole career(5 years between intermediate and b.tech. by some reasons and 2 times during b.tech).I am 28 years old.
10th(1998)-67%
12th(2000)-47%
b.tech(2011)-63%
i am worried for my future. I didn't get any job yet. Should i continue to look for boring software jobs because i want to work in software industry.Is the recruiter will recruite me.If not is there any other way to have a bright future?

i have total 7 years gap in my career (5 yrs between b.tech and 12th because of some reasons, and 2 year during b.tech. ).

B.tech.(I.T.)(2011)- 63.42%
12th(2000)- 47.0%
10th(1998)-67.5%

dear friend,

maximum software company wants 60% through out in career . they allow only two years gape. also they are not allow backlog candidate .

maximum software company want 60% in through out in career like TCS,CTS,IBM,HP,L&T etc.

some few software company allow 50% above criteria like WIPRO, SYNTEL etc.

so you are eligible for above company.

Also you are eligible for .NET and PHP company so you can contact those company.

if your percentage is not good then you may go M-TECH courses as lecturer.

i had 1 year gap before class-12 and i have above 60% marks in all,i.e. in 10,12 and b.tech..is there any requirment to show any valid reasons to the company like tcs for this gap?
