Dear friend,

Those candidate who have passed Common Proficiency Test and Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examination body constituted by law in India
or
an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto and passed CPT may join the Professional Competence Course.

These exams are conducted twice every year generally on the first Sunday of the months of June and December.

There is no restriction on the number of attempts a student can make at the CA CPT examination.

CA CPT Syllabus 2012:-

No. of papers:- One

Duration:- Four years

Marks:- 200

Two Sections - Two hours - 100 Marks

Section A:- Fundamentals of Accounting ( 60 Marks )
Section B: Mercantile Law ( 40 Marks )
Section C: General Economics ( 50 Marks )
Section D: Quantitative Aptitude ( 50 Marks )

EXAM DATE:-

June Examination:-

June 6th, 2010; June 5th, 2011; June 3rd, 2012.

December Examination:-

December 5th, 2010; December 4th, 2011; December 2nd, 2012

CPT India INR 500/-
CPT Kathmandu (Nepal) INR 850/-
CPT Abu Dhabi (UAE), Bahrain, Doha (Qatar), Dubai USD 150

CPT i.e. Common Proficiency Test is the entry level test for those student who wants get admission into Chartered Accounted(CA) course.This exam is conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).


The CPT is usually conducted twice a year in the month of JUNE and December.


You can apply for the exam either online or offline.


To apply online visit: http://icaiexam.icai.org/. You can submit fee through challan of Rs. 500


To apply offline, You can purchase application form from any branch of ICAI at a cost of Rs.600/-


Eligibility Criteria For CPT :

• You should have completed 10th or 12th form recognized central/state board or school.
  
• There is no restriction on percentage.
  
• There is no restriction in no. of attempts.

=> The last date for getting registered and applying for C.P.T exam December has finished..
=> But don't worry friend, you can apply for the C.P.T exam June 2012..
=> You can get the C.P.T registration form from I.C.A.I bhavan in lakdikapool, hyderabad..
=> You need to pay the registration fees in the form of a demand draft taken from any recognized banks..
=> And after you get registered, you'l get a registration number..
=> And you can also get the C.P.T application form from I.C.A.I bhavan..
=> You need to fill all the details in the application form including your C.P.T registration number..
=> And after filling the C.P.T application form..you can submit it in I.C.A.I bhavan itself..

CPT is an objective type test to which is conducted 2 times in a year generally in the month of June and December..It is open only to those students who are already registered with the[B] Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
