Yes you can join Indian Army after passing 12th with arts stream.
For this you have to qualify the National Defence Academy(N.D.A) Exam.


N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

After qualifying N.D.A exam you can join Defence services like:-
> Army
> Air Force
> Navy

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass 12th with recognized university
> Age limit:-16.5-19 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

Date of Notification:-31.12.2011
Last date of receipt of form:-30.01.2012(MONDAY)

Qualifications: You should have passed your 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics.But as far as UPSC Concern they have not specified the Minimum Marks in 12th.

But if you will apply for army as a soldier.

Otherwise you can apply after graduation via CDS for officer entry.

Yes, you can join Indian Army after passing 12th in Arts subject for which you have to appear for NDA(National Defence Academy) conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian within the age group of 16.5 to 19 years of age having completed 12th for any stream to apply for Indian Army wing of NDA. you are eligible to get into INDIAN ARMY but for that and that too after XII you need to give NDA exam

• XII from a recognised board

Dear Friend,
You surely can join Indian Army after passing class 12th with arts subjects.
To join Indian Army after class 12th you can appear in the NDA examination. The minimum eligibility criteria for the NDA examination is that the candidate must has passed class 12th and age of the candidate should be between 16.5 to 19 years.
So after class 12th do apply for the NDA examination.

You can join Indian Army after completing 12th with Arts as subject.

UPSC{Union Public Service Commission} conducts NDA{National Defence Academy} Exam twice a year as NDA I & NDA II exam for those Students who wants to join Indian Army, Navy & Air Force just after 12th standard. But for NAVY & Air force you must have passed 12th with Physics & Maths as on of the subject.

*After 12th, You can join Indian ARMY only through NDA exam.
