I m a 4th year BTech student from CS branch. Having a good academic record in 10th, 12th and in Btech, I want to know how could I get into ISRO? Pls tell about the examination conducted by ISRO ?

This is good that you have good academic record. But ISRO conduct exam. right now it does not have any vacancy for engineers. The only way to join ISRO is to qualify its exam. I am giving you the official website of ISRO so check it regularly. here is the link:-

For getting into wlc college you need to appear for WAT (wlc admission test ), followed by interview and Post Admission Counseling. Admission open for the year 2009-2010. The simplest way to enter into ISRO is, Aerospace Engineering.
The best institution for Aerospace Engineering are
IIST
IIT Bombay
IIT Kanpur
IIT Kharagpur
IIT Madras
The entrance test for IIST is conducted every year i.e. ISAT.
The entrance test for IITs is conducted every year i.e. IIT-JEE.

However if you do your studies in the field of Physics, Mathematics,
Statistics, Computer Science etc then also you can get a chance to
enter ISRO, provided that during your studies you are required to
have research works and project work in some relevant field which
can be utilized in the field of space sciences.

If you want to join ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) then you have to pass the ISRO exam conducts by ISRO. Eligibility for the ISRO exam are as follows: -

Qualification: -

You can join ISRO by appearing for recruitment test which they hold every year. Cut off for that exam is 60% I guess, but having higher percentage always give you edge.

Since your a B.tech(CSE) student and as you say that you have got an very good aggregate from your 10th hence you can definitely apply for the recruitment examinations conducted by the ISRO.For posts of Engineers/Scientists in ISRO you need to have a minimum of 65% aggregate overall in your B.tech course.Candidates who are in their final semester or those who have completed their B.tech course can apply for this examination.

Candidates from the age group below 35 can apply for this examination.Relaxation of 3 years provided for the candidates from OBC background.Relaxation of 5 years is provided for the candidate from SC/ST background.

Eligibility for Isro Exam 2011:

Education Qualification:

• BE/B.Tech or equivalent in First Class with an aggregate minimum of 65% (average of all semesters for which results are available). Candidates who are slated to complete the BE/B.Tech course in the academic year 2010-11 are also eligible to apply provided final Degree is available by 31.8.2011

Age Limit:

• 35 years as on 28-02-2011 (40 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 38 years for OBC candidates, Ex-serviceman and Persons with Disabilities[PWD] are eligible for age relaxation as per Govt. of India orders).

Exams will be conducted by ISRO itself. You must be good with the basic concepts in electronics and communication subjects. Normally communication paper are most important. Always this will takes place during III week of april every year.

ISRO is a resrch oriented job. isro conducting separately one exam. you have apply that exam and if you qualify means you will inform for interview round.
