I did AMIE in mechanical branch.Now i am interested in doing M Tech from KSOU Mysore under distance education programme. Please let me know whether it is approved university by aicte or not.

The Karnataka State Open University is not recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education. Having said that, I want you to know that the All India Council for Technical Education only recognizes MBA and MCA offered through distance mode by any university. Apart from these courses, other courses offered though distance mode by any university is not recognized by the Council. So, if you want your M.Tech to be recognized, you need to pursue it through regular mode instead of the distance mode.

KSOU (karnataka state open university) is a open university and therefore there is no link between AICTE and KSOU education system..


AICTE offers technical education whereas KSOU offers Arts programs.

KSOU got recognised from DEC(Distance education council) and UGC(united grand commission),so th egraduation obtained here is valid.

No university in India has and need AICTE approval because AICTE can only monitor affiliated colleges. M.Tech via KSOU is absolutely genuine and doesn't need any AICTE approval. If anybody has any doubts then show me one university in India that has AICTE approval?

if the m.tech degree received from the ksou has the same value as that of regular?will it be helpful for me to join any college for teaching after m.tech in ksou?

No,M.Tech distance learning program is not offered by KSOU Mysore AICTE approved
It is approved by DEC & UGC.
