Basic Electronics is a common subject for all the streams of engineering under the Biju Patnaik University of Technology. Bsic Electronics falls under a group of Subjects which are mandatory for all the 1st year students and the list includes mechanics, Physics, Engineering Mathematics, Basic Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Engineering Graphics etc. Basic Electronics forms a base for all the students though it is very much helpful for the Electronics Engineering and Electrical Engineering students. Here they are taught the basics of electronics like transistors, amplifiers, diodes, Semiconductors, oscillator, Digital to Analog and Analog to Digital Conversion, CMRR, Adder Subtractor, OP-AMPs, Zener Diodes, BJT, FET, MOSFET, CRO etc. All these topics are very helpful during the next 3 years where you will find it application. The paper is a conventional paper with 8 questions. Question 1 being mandatory is of 20 marks with 10 questions of 2 marks. Answer 5 more from the rest 7 questions. 10 marks are for each of the last 7 questions. Below are attached some of the previous year’s question papers.
