I am currently doing FY BCom from mumbai university. And appeared 2nd time for CPT. I had scored 69.5% in HSC from Maharashtra board.But I am not interested in B.com and CA. I am interested in Law. What about 5years LLB? What exactly it is and what is its syllabus. how will i get admission in 5yrs LLB ? is there any entrance exam there? If yes then when it is conducted ? And what is its portion? Please suggest me colleges where i will get admission on the base of 12th's marks? And what is Double Graduation? How can one opt for it?

Firstly I will suggest you not to opt out of B.Com. Since you are in final year, it would be wise to complete the Bachelor of Commerce course. You can pursue LLB after completing the Bachelor of Commerce course.

However not the 5 years course but the 3 years course. Honestly it would make no difference if you complete 5 years or 3 years LLB graduation. The 5 year course is for the candidates who have not completed graduation.

After completing 12th, they can directly go for integrated LLB course which has 5 years duration. The integrated course includes a bachelor course and LLB which saves your one year of academic studies.

Those who complete graduation are recommended to appear for LLB which has duration of 3 years. But please beware that none of these courses are offered through correspondence. The Bar Council of India has taken a very tough stand against it.


LLB Eligibility

1. Candidate should have bachelor degree.

2. At least 45 percent marks in graduation.

3. SC/ST candidates need 40 percent marks.

4. The age limit to apply is 30 years.

5. There is 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates.


As far as admission process, some universities offer direct admission on merit. They will conduct a interview and upon the performance in that interview the candidate is offered admission. While some universities conduct their own entrance exams as well.
