Books to prepare for IAS Exams:-

You too can become an I.P.S. Officer by the I.P.S. Officer C. Sylendra Babu.
General knowledge refresher written by O.P. Khanna.
Quantitative Aptitude by R.S Agarwal
Quantitative Aptitude by Arun Sharma, TATA Mcgraw hill publisher

For general studies paper, the candidates can also go through the competition success review magazine, where there will be previous year papers as well. This will be useful for the candidates to get through the IPS examination.

There are so many books available in market, first of all have a glance daily's,magazines, espically competatvie success review book and prepare for logical& reasoning, numerical ability,(i.e) apps book, you should give importance to study of engineering papers because you will have to choose some papers from you degree for main exam, have to know about current affairs, this is enough for you

i wish you all best..
