IPS is an Indian Police Services. If you want to become a IPS, You have to qualify and got a good score in following tests those are as follows:

IPS - Indian Police Service
To became an IPS officer,one should clear the following rounds.
There are three rounds,
*Preliminary examination
*Main examination
*Interview
For these three rounds they provide some criteria,which should be followed.

Preliminary examination:
There are two papers in this round.
Paper-1:General Studies
In this paper you need to have some knowledge about the following,(mainly day to day issues)
-> current events,
-> History of India,
-> Global and Indian geography,
-> Indian economics ,
-> polity.

Paper-2:Optional Subject
Each candidate has to choose one subject from a list(provided below).This optional subject depends on the type of job that the candidate wants to take as an IAS officer.

1.Meaning of your name/About a person who has same name as yours?
2.About your career choice?
3.Recent current topics.
4.About your academic record and some more.

Some requirements are need to be fulfilled in order to complete the training successfully.They are
1.A weekly run of 10 kilometres in 60 minutes.
2.Horse riding, rock climbing, assault courses.
3.Route march of 25 k.m.
4.PT obstacles.
5.Rope climbing etc.

Later they divide into two categories,Technical and Non-Technical.
So,do hard work to sustain in job.


Everything is possible with strong attitude and hard work.

* IPS Stands for "Indian Police Services".

* To become an IPS officer , you must have to crack the civil services examination which is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission.

The Civil Services Examination is conducted in three phases :

* Preliminary Exam

* Mains Exam

In Preliminary Exam , the examination is held in two papers :

1) Paper 1 Subjects :

2) Paper 2 Subjects :

->IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

->Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

->But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.
In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

->The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.Also you must be citizen of India.

Blood pressure (High) –Age 23 – 123, age 24 – 124, age 25 –122, age 28 – 124, age 30 –125, age 32 – 126, age 34 – 127.

Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels.

Nasal- candidate should not stammer while speaking.
