AGE limit for NDA: For NDA Age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years. There is no relaxation in Age for any category candidates.

Eligibility for NDA:

For Indian Army: You should have completed 12 standard or equivalent examination in any stream from recognized university/board. You should be Unmarried, male & citizen of India.

For Indian Air force: You should have completed 12 standard or equivalent examination in Science(PCM) stream from recognized university/board. You should be Unmarried, male & citizen of India.

For Indian Navy: You should have completed 12 standard or equivalent examination in Science(PCM) stream from recognized university/board. You should be Unmarried, male & citizen of India.

National Defence Academy -- NDA


NDA exam counduct every year two time by UPSC.

This exam held for three wings of nda ---

Airforce,Army,Navy & Navel Academy.

Candidates who join nda they must have passed 12th class with 55% aggregate from a recognized college with Physics, mathematics, and Chemistry.

Final year students in 12th class are also eligible to apply NDA.

Only unmarried male candidate are eligible for this exam.

NDA, NDA(National Defence Academy) exam is conducted by the UPSC(Union public Services Commission).

This exam was conducted two times in a year i.e NDA-I, NDA-II.

NDA has three wings:

Indian army,
Indian navy,
Indian airforce.


Eligibility criteria:

-->The applicant should be complete 12th standard from a recognised state board of india.

-->But for airforce and navy must wants PCM subjects in 12th standard other wise you will not eligible for this exam.

-->Only unmarried male candidates are eligible.

-->Girls are not eligible for this exam.

-->Candidate should be a citizen of india.

-->Candidate must be physically fit.

The candidates age should not be lessthan 16.5years and should not be greaterthan 19 years.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts an entry level exam to enter NDA.
Eligibility for UPSC exam :-
a) Sex :- Male.
b) Age Limit :- Between 16 1/2 and 19.

Application Forms are published in leading
newspapers during March /April.

The UPSC (NDA) exam is conducted twice a year (April and October)in all major cities throughout India.

Each year course start twice January and July.

UPSC (NDA) Syllabus is based on CBSE syllabus.

THE CANDIDATE HAVE UNMARRIED FOR MEN AND THEIR AGE MUST BE 16.5 AND 19 YEARS ARE APPLICABLE FOR THE N.D.A

(i)For Army wing of National Defence Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

After passing 12th you can apply or N.D.A.
N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

as per the mentioned age criteria my age falls within the age bracket (DOB-24 March 1995) still while filling up the form the pop up is coming that age is not within the limit

Applicant's date of birth should fall between 02 July 1995 and 01 January 1998 both dates are included.

Educational qualifications required:
In order to apply for Army wing of National Defence Academy, applicant must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam in any stream.
For Air Force Academy and Navy wings of NDA, candidate should have Mathematics and Physics subjects in his 10+2 exam.
Candidates who are studying in second year of 10+2 exam are also eligible to apply for NDA & NA exam (II).
For Naval Academy also applicant must have studied Physics and Maths at 10+2 level.

Admn, my D.O.B is 08/01/97 and presently studying in class 11th. So whether i stand any chance for selection in nda after 12th standard.
