It is not necessary to work in the programming field after MCA. You can choose to work in the hardware and networking field too. If you have no interest in the same then MBA will be the better option. Various areas of specialisations is offered in this course. You can choose between areas like marketing, HR, operations management etc. Make sure that the post graduation course you join is based on your interest areas.

BCA stands for Bachelor of Computer Applications. This is a 3 year course being offered by many of the colleges in India.

Soon after the completion of BCA course at Graduation level, the two best courses for you to join at Post Graduation level are
MCA (Master of Computer Applications)
MBA (Master of Business Administration)

The duration of MCA course is 3 years and it will be a good choice for the candidates who want to have career or jobs in software field.

The duration of MBA course is 2 years and this course will be best suited for the candidates those who want to go into IT side and want to enhance managerial skills.

As per this criteria, MBA course will be a good choice for you.

You should have to score a minimum of 50% of marks in your BCA course in order to be eligible for the Entrance Exam.

Relaxation is there in percentage of marks upto 5% for the candidates of SC or ST category.

There is no upper age limit at all for the candidates to join this course.

Popular Entrance Exams to join this course are
CAT
MAT
GMAT

In addition, there are some state level entrance exams for this course through which the candidate can get admission for MBA course in and around various colleges of that particular state.

Some of them are
ICET
TANCET

As you are pursuing BCA course, it would be the right time for you to start preparation for the entrance exam.

I suggest you to prepare for CAT Exam through which you can get admission for this course in various B-Schools and IIMs which are the top institutions for this course.

Wish you all the best.
