hey... i have just passed out my 10th std. and i hav planned to become a sports nutritionist, now the problem is i don't know what subjects to choose in 11th n 12th. this question arises because initially i waz taking home science.. plz help me out with what to take science or home science...???? n which subjects..????

You have mentioned your aim to become a sports nutritionist. Now as I read, this stream relates to the medical field.
You have passed Class 10th and now going to go in 11th and 12th . You would be knowing that these are called the Higher Secondary Schooling.
After this you also have the 12th boards.

Now in 11th you have 3 choices of streams namely SCIENCE, COMMERCE AND ARTS ! You have to make a selection out of these three what you want to do ahead in your life.

I personally feel that nutritionist is a medical profession and so you must take up SCIENCE subjects.
Further even Science stream has got 2 types : Medical and Non Medical

The medical stream has got Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects and the Non Medial stream has Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

So you should choose the Medical Science stream taking up PCB as your main subjects.
After that you can sit for the MBBS entrance exams and choose the nutritionist specialization.

Taking up home science would not be of any use as to become a nutritionist you need to study about the human body, how it takes nutrition, what are the things and foods that are beneficiary for a sports person and all such..

HI!
As per my knowledge for nutritionist you have to take B.Sc in Food and Nutrition.
Friend after passing 10th with 60% marks you have to opt Science Stream that is Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

After passing 12t you have to do course like B.Sc Biotechnology or B.Sc Food and Nutrition.

If you like the option of sports nutritionist then you have to ofcourse carry on your class 12 with science subjects that would be a perfect choice for you

Choosing a subject is just the matter of choice. There is no hard and fast rule for taking subjects and it all depends on personal interest. There are many field for taking after 12th.
If you are good in maths then you should take science maths( In this subject there is huge scope and by this you can go in many number of field) or commerce maths.
If you love biology then you can take science biology(this stream makes you in field of medicine)
and if you love history, geography then you may go for Arts stream.

Friend If you want to become sports nutritionist then you have to opt following subject like:-
> Physics
> Chemistry
> Biology
After passing 12th you have to do B.Sc in Food and nutrition.

To be a sports nutritionist as you wish to be the subjects that are most suitable are sciences. To be a nutritionist you have to have knowledge of a human body and how it functions, its nutritional needs and its general requirements, for all of it you MUST have biology as a subject. It will not only help you understand an athletes body but also study what constitutes a certain food and its nutritious values. Chemistry will further help you discover various supplements for nutrition that the body does not retain naturally.
In my opinion you must opt for sciences and if you have an option for elective subject yo might take up home sciences though physical education as the elective subject will make a perfect combination.

In order for medical side you have to choose Bi P C. if you were interested in doing engineer or something like that then you better choose MPC. you could have lot of oppurtunities through mpc. it's your choice so choose better live better

To become a nutritionist you will have to take medical subjects
So the subjects that you will have to take is physics , chemistry and biology
to become a nutritionist you can take up the diploma program or the bsc program
The eligibility for both is you will have to pass 12 standard with physics , chemistry ,biology with 60%
so with both the program you can become a nutritionist
