Dear sir/mam,im subashini i have completed B.E(CSE) under the syllabus of Anna University(2002-2006) in the percentage of 65. so i didnt get a job in software field and also im not having the technical knowledge.Post two year i have worked as a non teachnical job. At present im working as lecturer in sgcet in Pondy.I like to do higher studies.So please give idea for doing higher studies via gate. How i will prepare for gate exam. I hope surely u will guide me.

For that only u need to revise what u have been taught in your last 4 semesters... still if u need coaching ... then go for it... keep practising sample papers.

to qualify i would suggest you to join any coaching center for the preparation of the gate 2011.....
and together with that be strong with your basics and have a problem solving approach ...
and last but not the least practice the sample papers at the end for the final touch up and also the previous years papers ........

Its a good decision you have taken for going for higher studies.Its a good thing that you have work experience in technical and working as a lecturer is a Nobel job that i feel.I convey my hearty appreciation to you.Well preparing for GATE is not so tough if you put you handwork and dedication towards it.I have some sample question pappers for it which i have attached.You can refer it and can prepare accordingly to it.You can even refer some books like R.S.Agarwal and J.P.Sinha.

]--similarity of papers is more between CSE and ECE
]--you should bye GK-publication book for GATE syllabus, and prev.yr quest.
]--Syllabus, study material and the previous GATE question papers
]--gate score from this year is taken out of 100.
from any department,minimum score is 25/100.
forms comes in feb,exams in april
---one stop at gate is a good forum to learn all these about the sample papers

In order to clear an exam like GATE, you need to do a coaching... Practice as many questions as you can...Do not create a backlog... Also revise what you have been taught in your 4 semesters....

Hi

I appreciate your interest but its advisable to go for coaching because of following reasons.

- Once we start working, its difficult to return back to study
- You may not be able to cover whole syllabus on your on, while coaching institute will cover whole syllabus
- During these years syllabus and question paper pattern must have changed
- Coaching institute will help you with lattest pattern and you can seek help from faculty
