Dear Friend

Actually the CSIR-NET and UGC-NET both come under the same roof named University
Grants Commission or UGC. The main difference in UGC-NET and CSIR-UGC-NET is that
NET is conducted for almost all streams except basic sciences and agricultural streams.

The NET examination for science streams is CSIR-NET.
CSIR stands for Council of Scientific & Industrial Research.
The CSIR includes only following five subjects:
CHEMICAL SCIENCES
EARTH SCIENCES
LIFE SCIENCES
MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES
PHYSICAL SCIENCES

Apart from these; ARS-NET is conducted for Agricultural research and relevant field.
It is conducted by Indian Council of Agricultural Research under UGC.

As you mentioned that you are doing M.Sc.(Nutrition) so I think you are not eligible for
CSIR-NET.

According to your qualification ARS-NET is the option for you.
You are eligible for
Veterinary Sciences
Fisheries Sciences and
Social Sciences.

For more information visit: http://www.icar.org.in/
The notification for ARS-NET exam is attached with this message.
Find it into the attachments.

Thank You

Both these exams are conducted by UGC. Incase a candidate is interested in pursuing a career in research then he/she must appear for the CSIR. NET exam is for those who aspire to become teachers. However since you are currently studying MSc Nutrition you are eligible to appear for the NET exam. Incase you would like to go into the research field then you would have to take a PH.d.

The Council of Scientific and Industrial research (CSIR), conducts examination jointly with the UGC for other science subjects which includes- Life Science, Physical Science, Chemical Science, Mathematical Sciences and Earth Atmospheric Ocean & Planetary Sciences.

You will be eligible to appear for these test after completion of the Master's course. NET is the National Eligibility Test which is carried out every year as to select candidates with Masters Degree for lectureship. In order to be eligible to be a lecturer it is a must that the candidate should be appear for the NET exam. The JRF exam on the other hand is for those aspiring to be in the research field. For both these exams it is a must that the candidates should have at least 55% marks in graduation. These exams are held 2 times a year. You must select the subjects you studied during postgraduation. The NET exam is also the basic eligibility for candidates as to get the Junior Research Fellowships (JRF). The JRF is offered to meritorious candidates who have qualified in the NET exam. The exam is carried out in various subjects like humanities, social, environment, forensic, CS etc. For subjects Like Life Science, Chemical, Math’s and many more are also carried out by the UGC and the Council of Scientific and Industrial research (CSIR). As to appear in the exam the candidate must have more than 55% of marks in the Masters degree. Candidates in the final year can also apply for the exam.

Hi

According to your Query both MCA and B.E are their own importance.

Both are similar. That is Both are related to software field.

But B.E is better than MCA.

B.E is one of the graduation course. The duration of this course is 4 years.
The minimum eligibility criteria to get the admission in B.E is you have to complete your 10+2 in any recognized board.

MCA (Master in computer application)is one of the post graduation course. The duration of this course is 3 years.

The minimum eligibility to get the admission in MCA is you have to complete your graduation with 50% of marks in nay recognized university.

After completion of B.E you can go for Higher studies namely MBA/M.Tech.
After completion of MBA/M.Tech you have the better opportunities for that.

So its better to go for B.E.

All d best....

Basically there is no difference between CSIR NET and UGC NET as both are coming under same roof i.e. UGC for selection of Lectureship and award of JRF(Junior Research Fellowship).

CSIR NET-COUNCIL OF SCIENTIFIC AND INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST conducts exam on only Science subjects such as:-

MATHEMATICAL SCIENCE
EARTH SCIENCE
CHEMICAL SCIENCE
LIFE SCIENCE
PHYSICAL SCIENCE

UGC NET-UNIVERSITY GRANT COMMISSION NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST conducts exam on the rest of the subjects along with other Science subjects.

The candidate should be a Post Graduate securing at least 55% marks and should not be bellow 17 years, is eligible to apply for the above NET exam. There is no upper age bar for those applying for Lectureship but those applying for JRF should not be above 28 years of age.

For more information you may log on to www.ugcnetonline.in and www.csirhrdg.res.in
