The question paper has three sections. The first section is fully objective, having 10 marks, the second contains short answer type questions of 2 marks each, and the third section is descriptive, containing 75 marks or 40 marks, depending on changes in the question pattern each year. Some of the questions from the first section are what is the barrier voltage for silicon code, mention any two insulating materials used for the fabrication of IC, what is a stack pointer, state which type of transducer is a microphone, what is the disadvantage of straight radio receivers, give any 2 application of CRO etc. in the second section the important questions are list any 4 applications of PN Code, 4 advantages of IC, Write De Morgan’s Law, what is the need for modulation, major differences between rectifier diodes and Zener diodes etc. In the third section, there are mathematical and conceptual problems, such as explain the output characteristics of a CE Configuration BJT with diagrams and so on.
