Hi Sir,

I want to know whether I m eligible to apply for the net exam after doing PGBM from AICTE approved college( my subject was HR and Marketing).

Hello Swati,
Since you have completed your PGBM with HR and Marketing, you may appear for Management paper for NET. Management as a subject in NET includes the following :
Business Administration and Management.
Marketing
Marketing Management
Industrial Relations and Personnel Management.
Personnel Management.
Financial Management.
Co-operative Management

You will be eligible for the exam only if you have scored 55% in your PG program. Candidates belonging to SC/ST category are eligible with 50%.

Only Postgraduates are allowed to appear for the exam. Also the course should be pursued from a recognised institute. If you have pursued the PGBM course from a recognised institute you can appear for the test. There is no age limit for appearing for this exam. You can select Management as the subject for appearing for the NET exam.

Dear Sir,

although i know the differences between MBA Degree and pgdm equivalent to MBA.
Can all the PGDM aspirants can apply any government post? generally in notification only MBA is mentioned so its confusion that can we apply on not? request to make it clear and let this message known to all..

I have done my PGDM from ITM Mumbai, which is an AICTE approved institution. I have cleared UGC-NET June 2013 for lectureship, but later on I was disqualified stating that as my PGDM course was not approved by AIU / UGC. I had 81.25% in post graduation, and I have also the copy of AICTE approval letter, in which it is clearly stated that the PGDM course taken by me is equivalent to MBA programme offered by any Indian University.

I have filed several RTIs to UGC regarding this issue, but every time they have stated that only postgraduate students from UGC recognized colleges are eligible to sit for NET.

What should I do? Kindly advise.

I have done PGDM from ITM Business School Mumbai, with 81.25%. I have appeared for UGC-NET June 2013 (lectureship) in Management and cleared it. Later on, UGC disqualified me stating that my course was not UGC/AIU approved.

I have the AICTE approval letter with me, which clearly states that the PGDM course pursued by me at ITM is equivalent to MBA in any Indian University. I have filed several RTIs with UGC stating this issue, but always received the negative response from their end.

Kindly advise me, what should be done from my end.

I had 70.00% in post graduation, and I have also the copy of AICTE approval letter, in which it is clearly stated that the PGDM course taken by me is equivalent to MBA programme offered by any Indian University.

Now can I go for Ph.D or I cannot do Ph.D also ????????

Dear Sir, I have completed my regular ( 2 years) Post Graduation Diploma in Management (PGDM) from AICTE approved college in 2012.

Am I eligible to give NET exam after completing PGDM in International Business from AICTE approved college.
