what kind of a job can we opt after btech in mechanical engineering

Mechanical Engineers are mostly expected to get job in industries.
It involves mostly outside work unlike software jobs.

If you have programming skill required by software companies then you can get a software job.

Fresh engineering graduates in mechanical engineering have the option to PSU as Graduate Engineer Trainee, by qualifying GATE. Those with a minimum of 60% marks can join PSU such as BPCL and HPCL where as candidates with a minimum of 65% marks can join with firms like Power Grid or GAIL. The job profiles of Specialist officer or P.O in banking sector is suitable. Qualifying CDS exam helps aspirants to join to Officer positions in defense. ESE conducted by UPSC is suitable to find a rewarding career in engineering service sector.
