I think I can answer your question ...
I'm a student of Msc(hons)Mathematics in BITS pilani GOA campus .
As far as my campus is concerned ..Msc (hons) is a dual degree program by which you can get two degrees in 5 years .one is Msc(hons) and the other Bachelor of engineering(B.E) .
To get into BITS you need to write BITSAT exam.
Some of IIT's and NITS also offering MSc(hons).

Dear Friend,

in three year degree course 1 st two year you will study all subjects. in third year you can take any subjects in which you are comfortable as hons. this is called degree with HONS

The same thing..... I'm in Msc(maths ) with dual in E.E.E. So in the first year we have all common courses ,Second year we have 2 courses discipline(branch) related. Third year we have all maths related courses and fourth year all E.E.E core courses. Fifth year is practice school for which we need to work in assigned company..
