sir my expected marks in GATE 2011 is nearly 35 ...i am from ECE waht are my chances of getting admission in IIT and NIT

your percentile will be approx 94-96%ile and you will get MANIT Bhopal according to last year but this year new IIT's are also ready to give admission so chance of getting good NIT is open for you..but you will not get any IIT..

Selection is normally done on the basis of the percentile score. Percentile is basically calculated on the basis of the highest score in the exam. Normally candidates with 97-99 percentile are called for an interview. They need to clear the interview round too to be finally selected. Your score seems less for you to qualify.

Well dude, scoring 35 is not a big deal for this year as the question paper was little bit easy.

But you have a chance to get into the NITs and other good colleges.

No need to apply for IITs as their is no chance for you if you belong to general or OBC category, but there are chance for you if you are from SC/ST/PH/J&K.

NITs are possible for you but not top nits like allahabad, bhopal, calicut, surat, and some other colleges of south.

You can also apply in some deemed university and some other college which have previous good record of placement.
You can sacrifice good branch and can try for some general branches can provide you NITs.

i m not sure that u will get iit...but anyway i think according to ur score u can get nit......

With the mark of 35 its just an above average mark..

so there is no chance to you to get IIT's or NIT's until and unless you have a very strong reservation.

and opt for a below average course in your masters.

In my guess if you're a general category cadidate you might get 10000 rank..

which is not at all sufficient to get into IIT's

Once again Give a try with full energy preparation.

I think you get....so try but this year all students do very well in GATE examination all students have good score because this time GATe paper is quite easy but still you try i think you get...

all iit's ask minimum BE percetage(60%).

No, from this rank you can't get chance in either IITs or NITs. Even you can't get admission in reputed govt. colleges.
If you belongs to sc/st categories then there is some chance to get admission in NITs.

brother you have not mentioned your stream .i think you will get a chance to join lower iits as you got some reservation(ie ST)
