If you want to do your B.Tech better go with electrical, civil or mechanical.
you can also go for degree with mathematics as major and do post graduation further.
can also go for hotel management which also has a better scope.
Anything that you want to do after +2 depends upon your intrest and your ability, willingness to study.

If you have no interest in Computer Science then don't go for it. I would recommend that you choose between Mechanical, Civil and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

These are the best streams in Engineering in terms of job prospect. No matter which one do you choose, there will be no problem in finding job after completing graduation, if you manage to get good percentage.

Now the choice is yours to pick one out of these three. My personal recommedation would be to go for Electronics and Communication Engineering. The reason why I would recommend Electronics and Communication Engineering is because of wide range ofjob opportunity available in government and private sector for ECE graduates.

However I would like to remind you that this is my personal view and you are not required to go with what I believe. You can do a little research of your own to decide which field suits you the most. Since I have talked about Electronics and Communications, I should tell you about job prospect.

Public Sector Undertakings (PSU)

If you are interested in doing government job after completing Engineering then ECE would be ideal option for you. Most Public Sector Undertakings in India offer jobs to Electronics and Communication Engineerings.

You will have to score at least 60 percent marks in Engineering to get job in PSU companies. Then just will have to appear in written test to get job in PSU. Each company conducts its own written test for the job. The procedure of applying is mentioned on the job post by the Public Sector Undertakings.

You would also require a valid GATE score. A good GATE score would improve your chances of getting the job in Public Sector Undertakings.

ISRO

GAIL

BEL

BHEL

ONGC

HPCL

IOCL

DRDO

HAL

Information Technology (IT)

The huge IT industry of India also employees large number of Electronics and Communication Engineers. Do you know that Infosys through its on campus drive, hires more ECE then any other company related to the IT field. Therefore you should definitely considered going in the IT field.

Microsoft

Infosys

IBM

HP

DELL

AMD

Wipro

TCS

HCL

Tech Mahindra

Telecom

One of the fastest growing sectors in India, Telecom, is also a good place to hunt a job after completing Electronics and Communication Engineering. You would be able to find job in PSU related to Telecom or private companies. There is no shortage of jobs for ECE in the telecom sector.

BSNL

MTNL

Idea

Vodafone

Airtel

Aircel

Tata Tele

Reliance Communication
