As per The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, graduates having studied any three subjects out of the following list will be considered as commerce graduate and therefore will be considered eligible for exemption from the Common Proficiency Test provided they (s)he has obtained a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination:

Accounting
Auditing
Mercantile Laws
Corporate Laws
Economics
Management (including Financial Management)
Taxation (including Direct Tax Laws and Indirect Tax Laws)
Costing
Business Administration
Management Accounting

In order to get exemption from the Common Proficiency Test and be considered eligible for direct enrollment into the Integrated Professional Competence Course, non-commerce graduates needs to score a minimum of 60% marks in the bachelors degree examination.

If you clear the CPT exams than you would get admission in the IPCC satge of the CA programme

CPT exams or Common Profiency tests are held in June and December each year

Next CPT exams would be held in December 2013
Forms for this exam would be filled in October 2013

Candidates who have appeared in class 12th exam or have passed class 12th exam can apply


In the CPT exams questions are asked from the below sections:
Fundamentals of accounting
Mercantile LAWS
General Economics
Quantitative Aptitude

All the questions are asked in objective mode only
Candidates scoring minimum 50% marks are declared as pass
There are negative markings of .25 for each incorrect answer.



CPT exams fees-Rs 1000

Fees for CPT Registration is:
Application Form-Rs 100
CPT registration fees-Rs 6000
Total Rs 6100

sir i want to know we can join ipcc after completion of 1styear or 2ndyear or 3rd year of degree.which should be completed? (to exempt cpt exam)

dear friend

as you are a bbm student and scored 59% in your graduation you are definitely eligible for ca ipcc,

you can go for itt training and join articleship and after 9 months you can write your ipcc attempt

steps for ca

ipcc
ca final

as per latest notification of icai commerce graduates with more than 55% are allowed direct entry for ipcc

and other graduates require 60% in graduation for direct entry to ipcc,

Yes, you can eligible for CA-IPCC Course Directly.

As per the ICAI Rules Commerce related degree with 55% and Non-Commerce with 60% graduates only eligible for CA-IPCC Course.

You already have 59% in BBM in Graduation so; you can enter the CA-IPCC (Intermediate) directly through direct entry Scheme.
