hiii, i passed bcom this yr wid 51%
i m interested in IT field,
mba (it) or mca which field will be better for me???
i had not opted for maths in 12th but it was der in 1st yr bcom
also i m of open category
and plz dont mention suggestions such as go for ca, cs, icwa, etc. as i m not interested in that.

also which field would fetch better salary for me : mba (it) or mca????

I am sorry to say tat you are not eligible for M.C.A after passing 12th without Maths.
So you have to apply for M.B.A you have to qualify entrance exam like:-
> C.A.T
> M.A.T
> X.A.T
> G.M.A.T
> R.M.A.T

First thing to understand is that MBA and MCA are two completely different courses. If you want to become software developer or programmer then you should apply for the Master of Computer Application.

However if you want to work in IT company but want a managerial type of role then you should apply for the Master of Business Administration course. That is the basic difference between two courses.

As far as salary is concerned, both have almost similar scope. Although a lot depends on your academic performance. For example you have scored 51 percent in graduation. It is well below the requirement of various IT companies.

If you want job in good IT companies after completing MCA then you should have scored minimum of 60 percent marks in 10th, 12th, graduation and post graduation. Unable to meet this criteria will severely affect the chances of getting selected in any good IT company.

You are also likely to face similar situation with MBA degree is well. But the requirement do get some relaxation in Master of Business Administration, especially if completed the course from some good university like the Indian Institute of Management.

According to me you should decide upon your interest. Are you really interested in software programming? Or do you think that management role suits you more? You should ask yourself this question and decide upon that.


MCA Eligibility

1. A bachelor degree in any stream.

2. At least 50 percent marks.

3. Maths should be one of subjects in 12th or graduation.


MBA Eligibility

If you want admission in Indian Institute of Management then you will have to appear for Common Admission Test. In such case you need minimum of 50 percent marks in graduation. Since you have achieved that my recommendation for you would be Common Admission Test, if you decides to do MBA in IT.

My agreegate marks is 50 %.I am intrested in Mba after complete my b.com but for adm in b.com my percent is very low.and is very defficult to me in final yr score 80% then my aggregate marks is 60%.pls give me guidence according to my problem. Don't join both M.B.A and M.C.A.
M.B.A and M.C.A are both for name sake, just for acting over-smart. You will end up without getting job.

Why do you want to study further? The more the education, more the burden.

If you study further M.B.A (or) M.C.A after B.COM, you will not get any proper job.

B.COM itself such a big degree, no need for any master degree after B.COM because there are a lot of job opportunities after completing B.COM.
You can go for auditing job, accounts job, bank job, sales job, insurance job, State Government jobs, Central Government jobs.

But if you do M.B.A (or) M.C.A immediately after B.COM, you will loose these job opportunities.

Why do you want to choose M.B.A or M.C.A?

Off course you can do M.C.A after B.COM, but if you acquire M.C.A degree after B.COM, no one will respect your B.COM degree, they will just ignore your B.COM degree. Everyone will check only your computer skills, I.T. skills in job.

Doing M.C.A after B.COM is not fair and you cannot get job.

Computer you can study privately in computer institute also.
In M.C.A, you cannot gain any computer knowledge as teaching is lacking in colleges.

M.C.A is only for software job only. If you want to go for software job, then choose M.C.A. you will not get any proper job, even software job also, because now I.T. sector is down.

M.C.A is suitable only for B.SC(Computer science) and B.C.A people.i.e people in computer line. Don't choose M.C.A.

After B.COM, study an simple M.COM. it is only suitable for you.

Computer you can study in any private computer institute and obtain certificate.
Don't expect computer teaching from colleges.

M.B.A you can study anytime. But go to any company,join any job, gain work experience and come to M.B.A.
Don't join M.B.A. directly after B.COM, because you will not get job.

M.B.A you can study even through part-time (or) correspondence.
Don't study M.B.A in regular college.
If you want to study M.B.A in regular college, gain work experience and join M.B.A.

If you ask me M.B.A or M.C.A? M.B.A is only suitable course after B.COM than M.C.A.
M.COM is far better course than M.B.A (or) M.C.A after B.COM because you can expand your accounting skills and also job opportunities.

there are a lot of job opportunities after M.COM.
